The rotate part option allows the user to manipulate the length and width columns of the parts in the parts table.
By default the parts wherein the length is smaller than the width are colored in pink.
Here except part number 7 and 11 have lengths lesser than width and as such are colored in pink.
Upon clicking the Rotate part button the Rotate part dialog appears.
Rotate Parts gives the user the following three options:
Rotate selected part by 90 degrees.
Rotate all parts so that longer side is along length.
Rotate all parts so that longer side is along width.
Rotating selected part by 90 degrees:
In the above shown part table part number 14 has a length of 261 and a width of 160. If the user selects this part row and in the rotate part dialog choose the rotate part by 90 degrees option than part number 14 will have a length of 160 and a width of 261 and the part row will be colored in pink
Rotating all parts so that longer side is along length:
If the user selects this option for the above table than the longer side of each part will be placed in the length column. No rows will be colored in pink because all the part lengths are greater than the part widths.
Rotating all parts so that longer side is along width:
If the user selects this option for the above table than the longer side of each part will be placed in the width
column. All rows will be colored in pink because all the part lengths are smaller than the part widths.
