Input in PLUS Bend

Material: PLUS Bend can allow multiple components in the same job, but these components must be of the same material. This material has to be specified common for all the bent components of the part table.

Thickness: The multiple components have to be of the same thickness. This thickness can be specified in the thickness box, which is common for all the parts.

Material

Specify the material type amongst the options mentioned in the box.

Thickness

Enter the thickness of the bent components.

Parts Table

The part’s table is where you can input the information of the part that you need to bend.

Note: the component that you desire to bend, will have to be bent from a flat sheet of the same thickness. This software allows you to get the dimensions of that flat sheet. Thus the name that you specify in the column will be the name of the flat part that you will bend subsequently to obtain the bent component.

The following are the contents of the part table.

Name

Enter a unique part name for each part.

Flat Length

Do not feed any data in this column. Length of the part will be calculated by the software.

Width

Specify the width of the component.

Quantity

Specify the number of units of this component you want to manufacture. This data can be later on used in PLUS 2D environment when the part is exported to that package.

Remarks

Additional information about the part.

Bend Table

The bend table contains the following columns, where you can specify information about the type of bending in the component.

Side

Specify the length of the side. (measured out to out)

Bend angle

Specify the angle between the side in the previous row ,and the side in the same row (Range: -180 to +180 deg)

Bend radius

Specify the radius of bending for the corresponding bend angle.
