In PLUS 1D you can add materials as per requirement and delete unwanted materials. Every material is associated with properties as shown below. This properties value will be helpful to make important calculations.

Name of the material. this will be used in the inventory and everywhere. |

| Grade | Material grade. |
| Rm Type | Enter Raw material type such as LB -'L' Beam, IB -'I' Beam, CH - Channel, etc. |
| Steel Type | Enter Raw material type such as HT- High Tensile, MS - Mild Steel, etc. |
| Weight (Kg/M) | It is the weight (Kg or pound (Lbs)) of the material per unit length (meter or feet). |
| Flg-A Width | It is the width of Flang A face |
| Flg-B Width | It is the width of Flang B face |
| Flg Thk | It is the thickness of Flang |
| Web Width | It is the width of Web |
| Web Thk | It is the thickness of Web |
| X-section area | It is the cross section area of the material. |
| Perimeter | It is the perimeter which to be powder coated. |
| Avg Cost | It is the average cost of the material. |
