For proper inventory management PLUS 2D provides a detailed database containing all the stocks and offcuts available in the inventory. The information of this database is stored by default in the Dbif (Database Inventory File) directory in the PLUS 2D folder.
This option is useful when there is a network installation of PLUS 2D.
If there are more than one installations in a computer network then all the users can share a common inventory directory. Thus the changes made by each user can be updated and conveyed to the other users, this ensures operational transparency amongst the users.
To select inventory directory go to Tools > Select Inventory Directory. This will display the following dialog box. Select the appropriate directory and click OK button.
