Standard Shape

PLUS 2D has a standard shape list for non rectangular parts. When the user comes across a non rectangular part, that the user frequently has to nest in different job files, the user can save such a part as a standard shape. Thus next time when,  user needs this part in the part table, the user can directly load the part as a standard shape.

Save as standard shape 

After the user has fed the shapes in the shape table, the user can select one of these parts as a standard shape by following the procedure:

• Press the Save as Standard Shape button.
• This will cause the Save as Standard Shape box to pop up
• Write the name of the part in the shape table that you want to save as a standard shape.
• Press the OK button

Load a standard shape   

 To load a standard shape from the standard shape list follow the below mentioned procedure.

• In the shape page click on the Add Single shape button.
• This will display the Add Single shape dialog box on the screen.
• In this dialogue box, press the Load Standard Shape button.
• This will cause the standard shape list to pop up, in this list select the part  you want to load.
• On pressing the Load button, The selected shape is loaded in the Shape part table.

Note: The dimensions of the standard shape cannot be changed after saving the shape. Thus each time that part is loaded it will have the same dimensions.
